The free Waterways Wellbeing Walks series starts in late June
Join local artist Genevieve Rudd on a relaxed creative walk with inspiring arts-based activities to enjoy along the route. The guided creative walk series will support you to connect and take notice of the landscape, whilst developing creative ways to express yourself and try new things. Each walk will be themed around a different natural element of the Waterways, such as exploring the habitats, wildlife and plant-life
All creative activity materials are provided, but participants are recommended to bring a camera phone or camera with them if they have one
Please come dressed for the weather – such as sun hat, warm jacket or umbrella, depending on the forecast – the coastal weather can be changeable!
The meeting place is at the entrance of the Waterways Boating Lake cafe (on North Drive, close to the public loos situated opposite Salisbury Road, Great Yarmouth)

The series is led in partnership with The Waterways, Great Yarmouth Borough Council and funded by National Heritage Lottery Fund
Pre-booking is essential on Eventbrite. Each workshop will take place at 10:30am to 12:30pm on the following dates:
Thursday 24th June
LIGHT: The first session will take inspiration from the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice (21st June), with activities exploring light and shade
Thursday 8th July
MOVEMENT: Explore the dynamic movement in and around the Waterways, such as the rippling water and birds in flight, using creative techniques
Thursday 22nd July
COLOUR: From the deep blue Waterways lake to the pop of summer flowers, this session’s activities are inspired by colour found in the environment
Thursday 5th August
TEXTURE: Experience the Waterways through its textures and touch. We’ll use creative techniques to express and explore the tactile nature of the locations
Thursday 19th August
PERSPECTIVES: Take an alternative view of the habitats around the Waterways with creative techniques to get in closer or take in the bigger picture
